The

commission is responsible for the publication of

the Official Code of Georgia Annotated. This

includes all supplements, revision of volumes,

and licensing for the use of the code on CD-ROM

products and legal research computer systems.

"I

am extremely humbled to be appointed to this

critical commission," Hecht said.

"Working with the leadership of the

legislature to insure that the codification of

the law follows the legislature's expressed

intent will mean a great deal to Georgians. We

take this endeavor seriously and will be working

very hard for the families of Georgia."

Hecht

also serves as vice-chairman of the Judiciary

Committee and the Corrections, Correctional

Institutions and Property Committee. He serves as

a member of the Senate committees on

Appropriations and Defense, Science and

Technology.

Hecht

represents the 34th District, which includes

portions of Clayton, Douglas, Fayette and Fulton

counties.
