in 1993 reorganized the delivery of mental health

services in the state. The study committee will

investigate the current structure of regional and

community service boards and decide whether changes are

warranted to improve services. The group will present a

report on its findings on or before Dec. 1.

, Plans for a Car Spa, a

combination car wash, convenience store and repair shop,

in the Fayette Promenade shopping center have been

dropped for now. Developers had applied for a special

exception to commercial zoning to allow the business

directly across Ga. Highway 85 from the back entrance to

Home Depot. But after receiving opposition from nearby

residents and cold response from the Fayetteville

Planning Commission, the developers withdrew the request.
