The week is
packed with hands-on outdoor activities taught by
conservation rangers, wildlife biologists and WRD
volunteers. WRD biologists will use live wildlife such as
hawks, owls and snakes to teach youth about wildlife
characteristics and youth also will participate in
woodworking and craft projects that benefit wildlife.
The Outdoor
and Wildlife Adventure Camp is open for 300 youths 11 to
15. The $125 registration fee ($150 after June 15)
includes lodging and meals, a camp t-shirt, and the use
of equipment. Youths will stay in group cabins, and WRD
conservation rangers will serve as youth counselors.
For
information or a registration brochure, visit your
nearest WRD law enforcement office or phone 770-918-6400.
