Baby Geniuses This is the kind of movie that makes you wish that LA was swallowed by a great earthquake. Why did Kathleen Turner make this movie? You've fallen a long way,Peggy

Sue. Rated PG.

Cruel Intentions Based on the nove Les Liasions Dangereuses, this movie is erotic in a cheesy, WB, kind of way.Rated R.

Deep End of the Ocean Michelle Pfeiffer stars as a mother whose son disappears and returns five years later, not remembering his mother or family. Wait until it comes on Lifetime. Rated

PG-13.

Doug's First Movie A few years ago I would have been excited for this but without the voice talent of Billy West and having the show now run by Disney instead of Nickelodeon, Doug

is wimpier than ever. Rated G.

Ed Tv Matthew McConaughey is Ed, followed endlessly by cameras as his life becomes a modern day Truman Show. Buzz is good, real good. Rated PG-13.

Forces of Nature Ben Affleck plays a soon to be married man who finds true love and happiness away from his fiance'. Rated PG-13.

October Sky A young, aspiring rocket scientist has dreams of being somebody special. Laura Dern and Chris Cooper star. Rated PG.

The Out of Towners Goldie Hawn and Steve Martin reteam in this remake of Neil Simon's classic. It's all about how horrible New York is, so it's a docudrama. Rated PG-13.

The Rage: Carrie 2 The world was begging for another Carrie, so a no name cast and no name director team up to make this one gorry, horrible mess. Rated R.

Shakespeare in Love

Will Shakespeare be able to complete his play, Romeo and Ethel, the Pirate's daughter ? Not if he can't find his muse. This film garnered 13 well deserved Oscar nominations. The acting, writing

and direction are impeccable. Rated R

Ten Things I Hate About You This is a movie based on The Taming of the Shrew by Shakespeare. Foodie and I checked it out and we enjoyed it. It is a nice, light film that makes you want

to fall in love all over again. Rated PG-13.

True Crime Clint Eastwood plays an old reporter and James Woods shows his age. The film is about an innocent man about to get the death penalty. Odds are you've seen better

movies starring both actors with the same plot.Rated R.

Varsity Blues A surprisingly original and well

done film about football. Jon Voight and James Vanderbeek

(TV's Dawson) star. Rated R.

Patch Adams Some would say that laughter is

the best medicine, I, on the other hand, prefer expert

medical advice. The comedic genius Robin Williams stars. Rated

PG-13.

You've Got Mail A sweet little movie starring

Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. They spew witty banter and

charm throughout. Rated PG.

The Waterboy A mama's boy in New Orleans vents his aggression on the

gridiron for a pathetic college football team. Adam Sandler

and Henry Winkler ("The Fonz") star in this very funny film.

A Bug's Life A fun movie but I enjoyed Antz a lot

more. Rated G.

A Civil Action When this film first came out,

everyone was talkiing about how good it was supposed to be. It

didn't earn any awards or make any cah and it flew to the

dollar theater pretty darn quick. Rated R.

Prince of Egypt The story of Moses becomes an animated tale. It held my

interest and stayed away from being overly preachy. Let your

people go...see this. Rated G.

Stepmom It's not enough that this movie deals with the heartwrenching

issue of divorce and remarriage, but director Chris Columbus

feels the second installment of his marriage is horrible trilogy

needs death to really wring out your tears. Rated R (for Retching).

At First Sight Through surgery a man gets his sight

back and he must relearn to see the world and relearn to fall in

love. rated PG-13.
