Excerpt from the Unity Prayer Rally, held Feb. 7 at First

Baptist Church of Peachtree City:

"Prayer evangelism is so simple," said Houses of

Prayer Everywhere director Al Vander Griend. "It's as simple as

believers praying for their neighbors and being available to God.

"God wants his world changed," he added.

"Instead of drive-by shootings, he wants drive-by prayer; he wants

the jails empty and the churches full."

Vander Griend said when Christians fail to pray, it is

like Moses on the mountainside when his hands were

dropped, the Amalekites pushed the Israelites back. But when

his hands were lifted, the powers of darkness were banished.
