Both Club Peachtree and GymXpress have become

members of the Gold's Gym family. Owners J.D. and Varner

Holmes had been considering the switch for a while and in January of

this year, after extensive research, the Holmes' acquired Gold's

Gym franchise licenses for both clubs. Club Peachtree, at 1964

Highway 54, on the edge of Peachtree City and Fayetteville, is now

Gold's Gym of Fayette County. GymXpress, located at the

corner of Ga. Highway 74 and Aberdeen Parkway, is now Gold's

Gym Peachtree City West.

Gold's Gym of Fayette County offers racquetball courts, an

indoor Jr. Olympic lap pool, strength training equipment,

free personal training and Friday "Family Nites." Gold's

Gym Peachtree City West features a free weight area and

Nautilus, Cybex, Keiser and StarTrac equipment. The Cardio area

includes treadmills, rowers, stairclimbers and

recumbent cycles. There is a separate workout area for women, a large

whirlpool and other amenities. Both gyms offer childcare and

tanning as well as a wide variety of aerobic and other exercise classes.

"We are proud of both fitness centers - they have surpassed

all of our expectations," said owner J.D. Holmes. "The acquisition

of a Gold's Gym franchise license was a planned step which will

allow both health clubs to continue to grow and excel." Gold's

Gym has over 500 locations worldwide. For members who

travel, the ability to work out at any Gold's Gym location outside

of Fayette County area will be a valuable benefit.

To kick off the acquisition of the new franchise license,

both gyms are waiving the initiation fee for the entire month of

February for new Charter members. Charter members joining in

February will also be entitled to numerous other benefits.

Current members of both gyms will automatically receive 'Charter

Member 'status and will be entitled to Charter benefits. For more
