The parade will also include Fayette County High School's marching band
and cheerleaders; "Beauty" and the
"Beast"; "Scarlett O'Hara" and "Rhett Butler";
and the Georgia Division Reenactors Association appearing on horseback in
period costumes.
There will be decorated floats from Publix, Party City, Miss Patsy's School
of Dance, and the City of Fayetteville; antique cars; the Fayette Biking for
Life bicycle club; and walking groups from many local businesses and
non-profit organizations.
Santa Claus, the parade's Grand Marshal, will appear for the grand finale in
an old-fashioned, horse-drawn carriage, complete with sleigh bells. Following
the parade, Santa will be available for a short time for free carriage rides in
Heritage Park.
Spectators are invited to line the downtown streets for viewing along
Ga. Highway 54 East, from Jeff Davis Drive along Ga. Highway 85 South, to
the parade's final destination of Heritage Park.
