Also included in the Regents' action is CCSU's becoming a
part of the Southern Regional Electronic Campus and offering
IS degrees through that organization to students throughout the
southeastern United States.
As a result, students pursuing these degrees can work
directly with CCSU faculty members to design a program of courses
and internships that prepare them for careers, while at the same
time availing themselves of the convenience and challenge of
learning online via telecourses and other distance learning methods.
In addition, the expansion of the IS programs to on-line
capabilities means that students who previously had to transfer to
other colleges and universities for courses and programs not
offered at CCSU can remain at CCSU and fashion more customized
career-oriented degrees.
Students interested in the IS degree should contact Dr.
John Kohler, acting dean of the School of Arts and Sciences at
770-961-3642 or at [email protected]. Additional information is
also available through the Integrative Studies website
https://www.is.clayton.edu.
Clayton College & State University, a member institution
of the University System of Georgia, is located in Morrow in
south metro Atlanta.
