Open House visitors may register in the shops for a one-of-a-kind prize: a
Main Street limited edition Depot Christmas ornament, personally signed by artist
Patsy Gullet. Santa will draw the names of three lucky winners at the conclusion of the
Open House.
Shoppers may also enjoy the sights and sounds of an old-fashioned Christmas
when local groups entertain with songs and dancing during the Open House hours on
the south side of the Courthouse Square.
The scheduled entertainment includes:
* 11 a.m. East Fayette Elementary School Chorus
* 11:45 a.m. Dancers (age 3-17) from Miss Patsy's School of Dance
will perform their Christmas dance program
* 12:15 p.m. Christmas carols by the Fayette County High School Chorus
Patsy Alewine, of Miss Patsy's School of Dance, said her group has been
rehearsing since the beginning of October to be able to give their "Christmas present"
in the form of entertainment to the area's residents. "It's a joyous time for all of
us," she said, "and after all, isn't that
what Christmas is all about giving back? We're thrilled to be able to do something for
the community like this."
