The American Lung Association's Christmas SealsĀ®
have been a holiday tradition since 1907 when the
organization's founder, Emily Bissell, created them to raise funds for
a tuberculosis sanatorium. "Christmas SealsĀ® can help
cure asthma" is the theme for this year. Donations to the site
will help fund the American Lung Association's programs
of education, asthma advocacy and research for lung disease,
the third leading cause of death in the United States.
