Furniture ad needs clarification

This letter is written to insure that a misinterpretation of an

advertisement is not made regarding McElroy Furniture

Company''s going out of business sale.

The wording of the advertisement leads you to believe that

the present owners have operated the business for 41 years when,

in fact, they have only managed it for the past six.

Only those having had a business of their own can

understand the blood, sweat, and tears required to make it a

success. McElroy Furniture Company was a success and served our

community well for 35 years before the present owners acquired the

business and its name, a name that can be traced through the books

of Fayette County for five generations.

We could not remain silent and allow the wording of an

advertisement credit someone else for a business we spent our lives

building.
