Ms. Gertrude Wendling Shepard, age 86, of Fayetteville, passed away on July 29, 2011.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of many years, Howard Claxton Shepard.
She is survived by her sons, Howard N. Shepard of Fayetteville, GA and Robert W. Shepard of Gainesville, GA; also a granddaughter, Jacey Shepard of Cumming, GA.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 1, 2011, at 12:00 PM at the Fayette Presbyterian Church, Fayetteville, GA. Ms. Shepard will lie in state beginning at 11:00 AM prior to the service. Pastor Alex Moses will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 31, 2011 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville.
