Though largely subdued this year, advanced (in-person) voting for the numerous contests on the ballot is just around the corner.

Fayette County Elections Supervisor Floyd Jones announced that advanced, in-person voting for the June 9 Presidential Preference Primary, the general primary and the non-partisan and special elections will begin on May 18.

Voting times are as follows:

• Monday-Friday, May 18-22 from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.

• Tuesday-Friday, May 26-29 from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.

• Saturday, May 30 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.

• Monday-Friday, June 1-5 from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Advanced, in-person voting locations will include the Fayette County Elections Office, located at 140 Stonewall Avenue, Suite 209A in Fayetteville, and at the Peachtree City Library, located at 201 Willowbend Road.

There will be no early voting on May 25 due to a federal holiday, Memorial Day.
