On Saturday night, July 9, The Villages Amphitheater in Fayetteville hosts an evening of classic songs made famous by the legendary Frank Sinatra.
The show, titled “Simply Sinatra,” features Las Vegas veteran Steve Lippia who has headlined extended engagements in Vegas and Atlantic City casinos. With a hot, driving band behind him, Steve’s youthful, energetic talent and powerful show creates a perfect blend of “classic” with “today”. His show introduces a new generation to this timeless music, while appealing to long-time listeners. He possesses great stage presence – a charm and an ease that will immediately endear this Fayetteville audience to him.
His repertoire includes such great standards as “I’ve Got You Under My Skin,” “The Lady Is A Tramp,” “Mack The Knife,” “Summer Wind,” “You Make Me Feel So Young,” “That’s Life,” and “The Best Is Yet To Come.”
Amphitheater Director, Brian Wismer, commented on the upcoming show. “If you even remotely like Sinatra, you’ll eat this one up. I’ve seen a lot of people who think they can do the man justice, but this guy is as good as it gets. We are bringing a genuine Las Vegas production to Fayetteville, and it will truly be memorable.”
Folks still sitting on the fence about attending will have a chance to see Steve perform live on CBS’s Better Mornings Atlanta on Friday, July 8; the day before the show at 5:15 a.m. and 6:15 a.m.
Some tickets still remain and are available at the Train Depot and also via the website, www.VillagesAmphitheater.com, which offers specific seat selection. Individual tickets are $15 for general admission on the lawn, and $25 for reserved seats.
Also appearing at the Villages later this month is Roy Clark on July 23, and then the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band performs on August 13. The 2011 concert series is presented by Mercedes-Benz of South Atlanta.
