A March 8 fire at a residence in Tyrone resulted in smoke damage in the home but minor fire damage.
The call came in at 4:22 p.m. from 150 Ridge Road, with a female resident initially believing her son was still in the home, said Fayette County Fire Marshal Anthony Koranda, adding that such was not the case.
Firefighters located the fire in a bedroom and hallway in the rear of the house where it was contained, Koranda said.
Though the fire was contained, other areas of the house sustained smoke damage, Koranda added.
Koranda said there were no injuries to residents or firefighters.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
