Jacqueline Marie Thiel Ludwig passed way February 12, 2019, after a long battle with brain cancer. She was born on September 2, 1939 in Barnesboro, Pa., to Betty and Francis Thiel. They moved to Cleveland, Ohio, where her father worked in the Ford plant. She graduated from the Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing and continued working there, eventually becoming head nurse of pediatrics.

In 1967 she met and married her husband, Larry Ludwig. They adopted two children Beth Ludwig and David Ludwig, at which time she retired from nursing. They moved to Fayetteville, Ga., where Larry went to work for NCR in Peachtree City. She loved animals and they took in numerous dogs and cats, most of whom were homeless. We have a devoted pet Chihuahua, named Chinju. During the past several months, when Jackie was bedridden, Chinju spent most of the day curled up by her side. Jackie was cared for these past months by her husband, with the wonderful help from the staff of Sacred Journey Hospice. She is survived by her husband, Larry; son, David Ludwig; daughter, Beth Thrower; granddaughter, Isabella LaRocca; and sister, Judith Yu.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Peachtree City.  The family will receive friends at 1:15 p.m., prior to the service.
