Helen Leona Steele, age 90, passed away Saturday, February 26, 2011.
She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by two daughters Shirley and Howard Allgood of Peachtree City, Barbara and G.L. Roberts of Jonesboro; three grandchildren, Tonya Brown of Newnan, Paige Burnett of Peachtree City and Lee Ann Roberts of Jonesboro; four great-grandchildren, Whitney Brown, Price, Cole and Brooke Burnette; two sisters, Letha McGraw of East Point, and Ruth Gilmer of McDonough.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Herbert Lee Steele, her precious daughter Brenda Joan Steele, and her parents Plez and Exa McMichael.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday at the Chapel of the Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville. Burial will follow at the College Park Cemetery, College Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday evening at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc. or the American Heart Association.
