Gerald (Gerry) Spikes, 90, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2018 in Arizona.

Gerry moved to Scottsdale in June 2015 to be closer to his daughter and her family. He served in both the Army and Air Force during the Korean War and retired from the Federal Aviation Agency in 1985.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 61 years, Lanie Spikes. Gerry is survived by his daughter, Sherrie and Mike Stanley of Arizona; son, David Spikes of East Point; grandchildren, Jason and Michelle.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 18 at 2 p.m. in the chapel at Mowell Funeral Home in Fayetteville, Ga., with Rev. J.W. Wallis officiating. The family will assemble at 1:30 p.m. to greet guests.
