Don’t drop Rosemond

I have lived in Peachtree City for the last 20 years and have never corresponded with your newspaper but I felt compelled to urge you to NOT drop John Rosemond’s column from your paper as David Aycock urges in the May 16 issue.

I was happily surprised to see Rosemond’s column in your paper and thought it a great addition. Having attended a John Rosemond event in Peachtree City and also having had to deal with David Aycock as a “Professional” therapist for my three daughters during my divorce (of whom I got full custody), I can attest to the fact that indeed, one of these two men does give lousy advice, and it’s not John Rosemond.

Just my two cents. Thanks.

Interesting story. It is good to know other experiences. I don’t know anything about Aycock other than his newest article, that I agree with. Despite this, I can still safely point out that you did not put any true arguments defending Rosemond, just critical of Aycock.
I have watched John Rosemond’s videos, his interviews, read many of his responses, and I have come to the conclusion that he is wrong on many things. His main idea is that we should go back to the 50s, as he constantly dreads the terrible changes of the 60s of how children gained more rights. Many of the ideas he suggests would be a disaster in the 21st century.
I ask that thecitizen discontinue John Rosemond’s work or give someone a platform to challenge his ideas.
