Time to register for Pre-K lottery drawing

The Fayette County Public School System is taking registrations for state funded pre-k classes through Mar. 3 from 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m. at the following schools: Brooks, Crabapple Lane, Hood Avenue, Inman, North Fayette, Oak Grove, Peachtree City, and Robert J. Burch.

Students must be 4-years old on or before September 1, 2010 to be eligible for the pre-k program.

A student who is age eligible for kindergarten (5-years old on or before September 1, 2010) cannot register for pre-k.

A total of 20 registered students will be selected for each class by a lottery drawing on March 4.

In order to register for the lottery drawing, parents/guardians must present residency information and their child’s birth certificate. If the child is selected, parents/guardians will be notified and will need to return to the school to provide the remaining registration documentation.
