Mr. Charles Jerome (Chick) Rosshirt, age 82, of Fayetteville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his children on February 15, 2018.

Chick was born on November 7, 1935 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Walter and Marjorie Rosshirt. He was family-oriented, intelligent and hardworking. He made a good life for his children and extended family. Chick was secure in his Christian faith and maintained friendships with many members of Life Bridge Church in Loganville. He was a frequent visitor of the Fayette Life Enrichment Center, where he enjoyed friendships and cards. In the last 7 years he looked forward to Rosshirt Family Fantasy Football. It’s only fitting that he was the champion of his final season of fantasy football. He loved playing Euchre and Pinochle with friends, but when he lost he would jokingly say, “I hate this stupid game.”

Along with his parents, Chick was preceded in death by one sister and five brothers: Rita Predis, Walter Rosshirt, William Rosshirt, James Rosshirt, Lawrence Rosshirt and John Rosshirt.

He is survived by his children and their spouses: Rita Rosshirt of Jamestown, Tenn., Randall and Linda Rosshirt of Fayetteville, Michelle and Mike Coley of Maryville, Tenn., Michael Rosshirt of Acworth, and Joni Appel and Denise Palmer of Hampton; grandchildren: Erin, Luke, Daniel, Aaron, Jamie, Roni, Thomas, Anthony, Kimberly, Marlana and Kayla; great-grandchildren: Ryder, Alivia, Katlyn, Finley, Nathan, Addison, Blake, Alexander, Tyson, Colt, Logan, Judge, Taylor, Jacob and Landon; brother: Richard Rosshirt of Johnstown, Ohio; sisters: Jeanette Conrad of Grove City, Ohio, and Mary Ann Bozzetti and her husband Ted of Bradenton, Fla.; sister-in-law: Mary Rosshirt of London, Ohio.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at the The Gathering Place, 203 McIntosh Trail, Peachtree City, Ga.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fayette Senior Services Life Enrichment Center, 4 Center Dr. Fayetteville, Ga. 30214.

The Rosshirt family is being assisted by Georgia Cremation, 1086 Highway 54 West, Fayetteville.
