Lorine Cumby Williams, 89, of Fayetteville, Georgia, passed away peacefully in her home January 3, 2011.
She was the beloved mother and grandmother of daughter Sandra Williams Cannella of Tampa, Florida; son Lanny Dean Williams; daughter-in-law Vickie Williams; grandson Cash Cannella of Tampa, Florida; granddaughters Tedra Cannella Hobson, Deana “Nikky” Williams, and son-in-law Bret Hobson. She was the devoted wife of the late Reverend Wilson Williams for 70 years and is also survived by her sister Betty Cumby Vlass. She was affectionately known as Nana and “Mrs. Claus” to her family
Lorine was born in Atlanta and moved to Villa Rica, Georgia in 1957 where she was a hospital volunteer. She later retired from Rich’s/Macy’s in Atlanta after 35 years of service. She was a member of Lisbon Baptist Church and was active in church alongside her husband for over 50 years. Lorine loved gardening and shared the fruits of her labor with relatives and friends of which she had many; Lorine knew no strangers.
Family will receive guests at Mowell Funeral home in Fayetteville January 6, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held January 7, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Lisbon Baptist Church in Fayetteville followed by a graveside service at Westminster Memorial Gardens in Peachtree City.
