Mr. Ty Cobb McBrayer, 85, of Fayetteville, died January 2, 2011.
He proudly served in the US Navy during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lester & Lilla McBrayer and two brothers Grady McBrayer and Troy McBrayer.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Florine McBrayer; three daughters Mickie & Alan Haney of Locust Grove, Brenda & Jim Hall of Fayetteville, and Tina & Gary Varnadoe of LaGrange; son Mike & Kathy McBrayer of Fayetteville; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; sister Shirley Elmore of Satsuma, FL as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial will be held Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Overton Chapel of Fayetteville First Baptist Church. Rev. Glenn Stringham will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
