Handling old pics class set at LDS lab
The LDS family history lab in Fayetteville will host a class on handling, preserving and sharing old photographs on Tuesday, Sept. 5, at 7 p.m. The class will be held at 2021 Redwine Rd. in Fayetteville.
‘Goliath Must Fall’ Bible study
Unity Christian Church will offer a new, six-week Bible study series, “Goliath Must Fall,” beginning Wednesday, Sept. 6, at 7:30 p.m. The series will feature how to defeat the “giants” of rejection, fear, anger, comfort, and addiction. Fayetteville Christian plans BBQ
Fayetteville Christian Church, 114 Hickory Rd., Fayetteville, will host its annual BBQ and Bake Sale Saturday, Sept. 9, from 11a.m.-2 p.m. The fund raiser is sponsored by the mission team. Dinners will include barbecue pork, bun, slaw, baked beans, pickle, and sauce. Tickets are on sale now and someone will be in the foyer Sunday after the worship service with tickets. Tyrone Christian Homecoming
First Christian Church in Tyrone, 294 Jenkins Rd., will celebrate its annual Homecoming Service on Sunday Sept. 10. The church will celebrate 117 years of service to the community. Sunday School is at 9:30 a.m. and the church service is at 10:30 a.m. Former minister Gary Boyd will bring the message and lunch will be served in the Activities Building after the service All former members and friends are invited to join.
