James Danford Ward, 77, of Fayetteville passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2017. He was born to James and Mary Ward on February 23, 1940 in Thomaston, Ga. He was an IT manager for International Harvester for many years.
James was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Lanita Phillips.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Ward; son Michael (Melanie) Ward; grandson, Joshua Ward; step grandson, Dane Schaefges; great-grandson, Reece Ward; and sister, Frances Mann.
A funeral service was held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with Dr. J.W. Wallis officiating. The family received friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
