Mrs. Betty Shipman of Newnan passed away August 20, 2017.

She was preceded in death by her son, Mike Matthews and is survived by her husband, Sam Shipman of Newnan; son, Ken Matthews and his wife Susie of Tyrone; step-son, Wayne Shipman and his wife Chrissy of Monroe; sister, Joyce Hicks and her husband Lee of Jackson; brother, Bill Sanders and his wife Virginia of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Michael Matthews; Christopher Matthews; Ashley Ransom; Nick Matthews; step-grandchildren, Lindsey Shipman, Lera Shipman, Lucas Shipman; great grandchildren, Ivy Matthews; Alexander Ransom and step-great grandchild, Aurora Ransom.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Mallett and Dr. Jimmy Dupree officiating.
