Anita Richardson Talley, 63, of Fayetteville passed away December 3, 2010 after living with multiple sclerosis for over 25 years. Anita often said, “I have M.S. It doesn’t have me.” She was the mentor of the multiple sclerosis support group for the south side of Atlanta for several years.

Anita was born on February 24, 1947 in Appomattox County, Virginia, daughter of Bernard Carson Richardson and Laura Inge Richardson. She was a graduate of Appomattox High School and James Madison College in Virginia. Anita worked for over 20 years in social services for the state of Georgia .

Survivors include her husband Richard “Dick” Talley of Fayetteville; son Christopher Roberts of McDonough; grandchildren Taylor, Sarah, and Austin Roberts; great granddaughter Gracyn Kirk; brother Myron and his wife Becky Richardson of Centreville, MD ; niece Lisa & Bill Berry of Ambler, PA.; two great grandnieces; spiritual sister Jan Morrell, and several very close cousins.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at The Episcopal Church of The Nativity, 120 Antioch Road, with the Reverend Rita Henault and the Reverend Pat Merchant officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Memorial Park in Fayetteville. The family will receive friends Monday 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to a charity of your choice.
