Jane Hopkins, 72, Griffin, died Dec. 17, 2009. She was a wonderful homemaker and a talented musician who played in the “Flint River” bluegrass band. Her hobbies were cooking, fishing, and plants. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with interment at Holly Hill Memorial Gardens, Fairburn.
Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Russell J. Hopkins; children, David and Joy Hopkins, Cartersville, Danny and Terri Hopkins, Moreland, Chuck Hopkins, and Sue Hopkins, both of Tallahassee, Fla., Bill Crook and Chris, Joplin, Mio., Kenneth and Connie Hopkins, Jonesboro; and Bob and Mitzi Crook, Newnan; 18 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Bobby Thompson, Griffin, and Gary and Michelle Thompson, Peachtree City; and a sister, Brenda and Pete Chambers, Fayetteville. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
