Mr. Travis Lamar Smith, 87, of Fayetteville, passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2010.

Mr. Smith proudly served in the U.S. Army and received a Purple Heart medal.

He is survived by his son Lee Blackstone; three grandchildren, Shannon, Ivy and Lindsay; five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church of Jonesboro with Dr. George Freeman officiating. For those desiring, please make donations to the American Cancer Society, 310 Kelly Drive, Suite 3, Peachtree City, GA 30269, in memory of Mr. Smith.
