Liberty Hill revival set for Aug. 25-27
Liberty Hill African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church will hold revival services Wednesday through Friday, Aug. 25-27, at 7:30 p.m. each night. Wednesday’s revivalist will be the Rev. J. H. Butler of St. John (Coleman Street) AME Church in Atlanta. Thursday’s message will brought by the Rev. Kimberley Lyons from Flipper Chapel AME Church in Fayetteville. On Friday, the Rev. Robert Holmes of Hickory Log Baptist Church in Canton, Ga,, will close the revival. Liberty Hill AME Church is in Sharpsburg at 210 Minix Rd., off of Fisher Road.

Vineyard presents musical celebration
The Vineyard Christian Fellowship in Peachtree City will host an “End of Summer Celebration” Saturday, Aug. 28, beginning at 7 p.m. The event will feature two live bands, snacks and fellowship. Contemporary Christian groups “Tymbral” and “Just Prays” will perform. CDM to host prophet seminar Aug. 28
Christ Discipleship Ministries (CDM), 114 W. Campbellton Street, Fairburn, will host a seminar titled “Prophet Chambers Training” Saturday, Aug. 28, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The speaker will be Prophet Timothy Frazier. The training is for those who feel called to the office of the prophet and for those who want to understand the role of the prophet in the 21st century. FCCF to hold 5th Sunday Celebration
The Fellowship of Christian Churches and Friends (FCCF) will hold its regular Fifth Sunday Celebration at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 29, at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Peachtree City. The FCCF mission includes promoting unity among churches in Atlanta’s Southern Crescent. The senior pastor at Bethlehem is the Rev. Dwight Elder. The guest speaker is Minister Tamarkus Cook of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church of St. Paul, Minn. The service will be youth oriented but everyone is encouraged to participate. Bethlehem is at 475 Dividend Dr., near the entrance to Falcon Field.

Hayes to lead Prayer Meeting at Open Door
Evangelist Darrell Hayes will lead “A Study Time of Prayer” at Open Door Baptist Church in Senoia Sunday, Aug. 29 through Friday Sept. 3. The Sunday services will be at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Services Monday through Friday will be at 7 p.m. Open Door is at 7364 Ga. Hwy. 16 East, just west of Senoia. Free adult ESL classes offered in PTC
Carriage Lane Presbyterian Church, PCA, in Peachtree City will offer English as a Second Language (ESL) classes for adults beginning Friday, Sept. 10 and Sunday, Sept. 12. Classes will meet weekly through mid-May 2011. Students may join at any time. Class times are Fridays from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and Sundays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., with childcare available for Friday classes only. The church is at 101 Carriage Lane, Peachtree City. ‘Baggage Claim” opens Sept. 17 at Harp’s
Harp’s Crossing Community Theater will present “Baggage Claim,” a modern parable, Friday through Sunday, Sept. 17, 18 and 19, at 7 p.m. at Harp’s Crossing Baptist Church. Jesus Feast continues through Sept. 18
The Jesus Feast, a project conceived by two Christian business women from Fayette County, will continue through Sept. 18. Jesus Feast is a plan which invites individuals to spend 40 days focusing on Jesus from Aug. 10, until The Day of Atonement, Saturday, Sept. 18. Participation is encouraged either with a partner or in a group to examine and explore the miracles of Jesus each day, to read scripture, sing, pray and give testimonies. Local radio station J93.3 will read one miracle each day at 2:40 p.m. The project will conclude with a community service at the Villages Amphitheater in Fayetteville on the final day, Sept. 18.
