The Fayetteville City Council still has to vote on whether to turn down the rezoning and annexation request by Mr. Robert Rolader and his investment group Llc Ventures. That vote will be on Nov. 17, or Dec. 1 or Dec. 15.
The developer continues to push back the date in order to confuse citizens and tire out their protests. In aid of this, the title of your article on 11/2/2016, “Fayetteville planners give thumbs down to annexation” adds to the public’s confusion.
I know this first hand. On Nov. 7, as Lauren Pritchett and I, standing at the intersection of Jimmy Mayfield and Highway 92 Connector, held signs protesting the rezoning and annexation, 10 out of 12 people that stopped and spoke to us said they “thought the issue had already been settled.”
Please don’t add to the confusion. The public depends on your newspaper to be honestly informed. A more apt title for your article would’ve been “the battle continues in rezoning discussion.”
