It happens every four years. People line up on both sides of the fence, while others sit right on top of it. But there is one thing everyone can agree on — all children deserve to have a merry Christmas. So in this election year, I am asking you to cast your ballot for the kids.
Fifteen years ago, I started Embracing Military Families. With your help, we have kept the spirit of giving alive for thousands of military children. I can’t begin to thank you for your support. Once again, Christmas is coming, and once again there are children who need our help.
Thankfully, with our diminished presence in the Middle East, far fewer children are facing a Christmas with Mom or Dad in a war zone. But many of those formerly deployed soldiers have come home to a life of hardship, and for some, the added expense of Christmas just isn’t possible. That’s where we come in.
Our mission not only puts smiles on the faces of our littlest soldiers, but also gives peace of mind to their parents, who put their lives on the line for all of us.
As in years past, there will be toy boxes set up for your new toy donations. Thank you to Yknot Sports Bar and Mimi’s Good Food Cafe for allowing us to place toy boxes in their establishments.
