Fayette Visioning announced that it has selected professional marketing firm Development Counsellors International (DCI) to design, develop and assist with implementation of Fayette’s countywide branding campaign.

A 16-member branding task-force made up of a variety of Fayette business and community stakeholders reviewed branding proposals from ten marketing firms and then met with three finalists for in-person presentations.

DCI was selected based on the quality of work that the New York City-based company has done for communities large and small. Since 1960, DCI has worked with more than 450 cities, regions, state and countries helping them to attract jobs, investment, talent and tourists.  Their distinguished client list includes Greenville and Wake County in North Carolina as well as northern Colorado.

“During their presentation, DCI representatives showed their expertise by highlighting attributes that differentiate Fayette County from the rest of the state, something the other finalists did not do” said Larris Marks, Fayette Visioning chair. “They are highly qualified to create our county’s brand and provide actionable steps to promote that brand.”

The next step in the branding process includes a DCI immersion visit to Fayette County Oct. 13-14. The new brand and implementation strategy is expected in late March 2017

The countywide branding initiative is a result of Fayette Visioning’s goal to establish a new brand in order to better market Fayette County for economic development, to attract high-quality workforce and to create a more cohesive community.

Members of the branding task-force and the organizations they represent include: Abby Bradley, Pinewood Atlanta Studios; Debbie Britt, Piedmont Fayette Hospital; Steve Brown, Fayette County Commission; Heather Cap, Local artist; Lisa Collins, Fayette County Board of Education; Jay Garner, Garner Economics LLC; Kate Hawkins, Saville Studios; Derrick Jackson, Fayette Visioning Economy Committee; Ty Jackson, Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce; Jennifer Johnson, Peachtree City CVB; Larris Marks, Fayette Visioning; Paige Muh, Fayette Chamber of Commerce; Vicki Turner, Main Street Fayetteville; Carlotta Ungaro, Fayette Chamber of Commerce; Mary Watts, Fayette Board of Realtors; Mike Williams, Southside Church; and Joan Young, Fayette County Development Authority (FCDA).
