0Donald Franklin Bradford, Jr., 67, of Sharpsburg, died unexpectedly on Sunday, August 14, 2016.
He was born on January 15, 1949 to Donald Franklin, Sr. and Ruth Grovesnor in Washington, D. C. He was a native Virginian. Don graduated from the University of Nebraska, taught high school history for 37 years, coached football, and assisted Boy Scout Troop 897.
He is survived by his wife Jeanne Abraham; daughter Beth (Curt) Newsome; son Scott Bradford; sister Deborah (Joseph) Linville; and many loving nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 12 p.m. at Mowell Funeral Home in Peachtree City. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Boy Scouts of America, Flint River Council at www.flintrivercouncil.org.
