Medical office building planned near hospital

A proposal for a medical office building immediately to the east of Piedmont Fayette Hospital is expected to come before the Fayetteville Planning and Zoning Commission later this month.

Scheduled for the June 28 meeting, the proposal calls for the construction of a two-story, 30,000 sq. ft. medical office building on the current site of the long-time tire company situated immediately to the east of the hospital on Ga. Highway 54 West.

The building would be situated near the center of the 2.76-acre site. Plans show 143 regular parking spaces and five handicapped spaces.

The proposal calls for right-in, right-out access to Hwy. 54.

The city recently approved plans for the construction of a Holiday Inn Express immediately to the east of the medical office site.
