Catherine Rowe Walden, 93, of Fayetteville

Catherine Rowe Walden, 93, of Fayetteville, formerly of Lumber City, died Thursday, June 2. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Monday, June 6, at Fishing Creek Baptist Church with burial in the Telfair Memorial Gardens.

A native of Telfair County where she lived most of her life, Mrs. Walden was the daughter of the late Carl and Katie Walker Rowe, and was the wife of the late C.G. Walden, Jr.

A member of Fishing Creek Baptist Church where she was pianist for 55 years, Mrs. Walden also attended Fayetteville United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her children, Elaine Osburn (Rick), Joy Kiser (Cleve), Michael Walden (Renee) and C.G. (Sonny) Walden, III (Sherry); grandchildren, Cathi Skinner (Loyd), Kara Jackson, Nikki Lay (Lloyd), Amy Haynes (Bryan), Kate Purdy (Shane) and Rebecca Walden (Jim Oeser); and great-grandchildren, Samantha Skinner, Parker Jackson, Reese Lay, Sadie Haynes, Caleb Haynes, McCord Purdy and Sawyer Purdy. Nephews, Lance Rowe, Ray Rowe, Roger Hooks and Randolph Hooks also survive.
