Archie Edward Davis of Fayetteville, Ga. passed away at home surrounded by his family on Monday, May 23, 2016.

A passionate Delta Air Lines retiree, Archie served 32 years with the company. An avid outdoorsman, Archie loved spending time with family and friends canoeing, fishing, camping, traveling, working with his tractors, and contributing to community-based volunteer groups. He was active for many years working with Habitat for Humanity, volunteered hundreds of hours building trails, bridges, and benches for Chattahoochee Bend State Park, and was always ready to give his time and equipment to ensure successful cleanups on the Chattahoochee River.

Archie is survived by his children, Richard Davis (wife Lisa) and Rachel Sheehan (husband Brad); his grandchildren, Hannah Davis, Emma Davis, Haley Putnam, Heather Putnam and Reid Sheehan; his brother Jodie Davis (wife Dale); his sister, Sylvia Estes (husband Terry); his nephew and niece, Jason and Jodi Estes.

A celebration of his life will be planned and announced at a future date.

In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution in his name to the Chattahoochee River Keepers,  https://chattahoochee.org/cleanups.
