Sue Cary Swann passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 23, 2016, surrounded by family. She was born August 15, 1927, in Fairburn, Ga.

After graduating from Campbell of Fairburn, she went to work for Norfolk Southern Railroad. She had a 49 year career with Norfolk Southern.

Sue is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, James Edward Swann, whom she married on March 2, 1952. Also preceding her in death are her parents and siblings.

She is survived by a daughter Kay and Rodney Hill, grandson Todd and Connie Bright, granddaughter Cary and Josh Cartey, great grandson Austin Bright, and nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at 11 a.m., at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with Minister William Scarbrough and Minister David Hill officiating. Burial followed at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. The family received friends Monday, April 25, 2016, from 6-8 p.m.
