0Hugh Leon Watwood, 87, of Fayetteville, passed away March 23, 2016.
Hugh was preceded in death by his mother, Maude Helton, brother, J.W. Watwood, and sisters, Lillian Chambers and Florence Higgins.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, “Midge” Watwood; daughters, Jan Harper and Donna Ford; grandchildren, Christopher (Julie) Harper, Sr., Alison (Tim) Rorabaugh, Aimee Gumerson, and Jessica (Kevin) League; and great grandchildren, Christopher Jr., Rebecca, and Kathryn Harper, Emily and David Matre, Jonathan Rorabaugh, Cole Gumerson, and Benjamin and Maxwell League.
A funeral service was held Friday, March 25, 2016, at 11 a.m., at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with Rev. Bill Fricks officiating. Burial followed at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City. The family received friends Thursday, March 24, 2016, from 6 – 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
