Charles Michael Conner of Sharpsburg, 65, died March 13, 2016 after a courageous 10-year battle with cancer.
Mike, a 1968 graduate of Forest Park High School, worked over 35 years at Georgia Power Company where he started as a meter-reader and rose to supervisor. He was a gifted guitar player and singer in his younger days and loved country music.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Ralph E. Conner; his mother, Doris Sikes Smith; and his brother, Gerald E. Conner.
He is survived by loving sisters, Peggy Conner Rainwater (Jerry) of Fayetteville and Bonnie Smith Holley (Perry) of Hoschton; his sister-in-law, Gill Conner of Fayetteville; several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews and his beloved Rottweiler, Charlene.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on March 16, 2016 at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville. The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. prior to the service.
A reception will be held immediately following the service at Harps Crossing Baptist Church fellowship hall, Highway 92 South and Antioch Road, Fayetteville, Ga.
