The Lisa Ann Brewer Memorial Scholarship was created in memory of a Rotarian who embodied “service above self,” according to a spokesperson with the Fayette Daybreak Rotary Club.

The group partnered with AVPRIDE, a local charity whose “mission is to assist Fayette County youth to become conscientious and productive citizens of society who will make significant contributions to their community,” and identified six high school seniors in Fayette County who had a plan for where they would attend college, what their focus of study would be, and how they were going to use their education and experiences to give back to their community.

The recipients are Raahina Malik ($1,000), Iyanna Fouce ($750), Armand Raynor ($500), Chuck Obi ($500), Asia Ridley ($250) and Morgan Brown ($250).

Also pictured here are Fayette Daybreak Rotary Club President Lee Dodds and AVPRIDE Executive Director Pam Reid.
