The Rev. Jim Taylor, a chaplain at Piedmont Fayette Hospital, was recently recognized by the Cathedral of Christ the King, the church in Sharpsburg where he serves as a member of the assisting clergy, for his community mission work.

Taylor is not only a hospital chaplain, but also a state-certified voluntary police chaplain with the Peachtree City Police Department, a JobSeekers chaplain for over 10 years, a clinical pastoral education leader, and a chaplain and instructor for the Certified Emergency Response Team.

“Jim is one of the most active people I know,” said Bishop David Epps of Christ the King. “He is an outstanding example of what it means to be an active and positive person. He strives to better himself as well as those around him. We think the world of him.”
