0Kathleen (Kate) C. Rolka (nee Lyons), 76, of Peachtree City, Ga. passed away on December 9, 2015 at Southwest Christian Care Hospice.
She earned a baccalaureate degree in History from St. Louis University in 1960. Kate had many different careers throughout her life, working as an educator, civil servant, and fulltime mother. She loved reading, counted cross-stitch, and keeping tabs on her children and grandchildren. Her smile, kindness, and unwavering loyalty will be dearly missed!
She is survived by her husband of 54 years Major Thomas A. Rolka, (USAF, Ret.) and her three children: Tom Rolka (Lisa) and their three children Samantha, Mitchell, and Michael Rolka; John Rolka (Margaret Ibasco) and their daughter Sarah Rolka; and Christine Rolka (Sal Peralta) and their three children Ana, Carlos, and Alejandro Peralta Rolka. She is also survived by her brother Tom Lyons (Anne) and their two children Tom Lyons (Kristen) and Rachel Lyons (Kevin Bostick).
A memorial service will be held on January 8, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Peachtree City, Ga.
