Christmas shopping is underway and with it came three entering auto incidents around Fayette County during the week of Dec. 15-21.

The three incidents occurred at two restaurants in Fayetteville in the vicinity of the Fayette Pavilion. Two of the incidents occurred at the Ruby Tuesday restaurant around 8 p.m. on Dec. 20.

In one of the break-ins, a Lexus was entered after a passenger window was smashed and several bags containing Christmas gifts were stolen. The bags were on the back seat in plain sight, said Fayetteville Police Department spokesman Mike Whitlow.

Whitlow said the other vehicle had a passenger’s window smashed-in and a purse located on the front seat stolen. Also stolen was a pair of tennis shoes, Whitlow added.

Whitlow said both cars were parked on the same side of the building.

A third entering auto happened at the O’Charley’s restaurant at approximately 8:40 p.m. Whitlow said the driver’s window of a Chevrolet Suburban was smashed, with an iPad stolen from the middle seat and a laptop and passport stolen from the third row seat. Also stolen were headsets for the video system along with eight DVDs, Whitlow said.
