0Mrs. Ara Beck Burdette, age 85, passed away June 21, 2010. Ara was preceded in death by her husband, Ezra E. Burdette. She was a long time resident of Fayette County until moving to Christian City, a retirement community in Union City.
She is survived by her daughter, Helen West and her husband Jim of Fayetteville; also, granddaughters Karen & Craig Etheridge and Kristi & Stacey McFarlin; great-grandchildren Casey & Cameron Etheridge, and Ashton, Kaitlyn & Courtney McFarlin, all of Fayetteville ; two sisters, Eva McGouirk and Evelyn & Pat Langley , as well as nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 in the Chapel of Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home in Fayetteville. Rev. Dr. Jim Willis will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, June 22, 2010. Burial will be at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery .
