Christopher James Mitchell, 68, of Peachtree City, passed away on September 26, 2015.
He was the son of Willard and Elleanora Mitchell. He graduated from The University of Pittsburgh with a BS in Chemical Engineering and retired after 42 years with E.I. Dupont Corporation as a Chemical Engineer. Chris was a member of The Peachtree City Tennis Center and Holy Trinity Catholic Church. He will be greatly missed by his family and his friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Chris is survived by his wife of 47 years, Barbara Mitchell; his daughter, Sue (Eric) Peterson; his sons, Tim (Rhonda) Mitchell and Matt Mitchell; his daughter, Mandy (Rob) Riddick; his grandchildren, Gregory, Kara, Tré, Mackenzie, Mia and Emerson; his brothers, Paul (Loisrae) Mitchell and John (Roslyn) Mitchell; and his sister, Louise Sloan.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, September 30, 2015, from 5-7 p.m. at Mowell Funeral Home, Peachtree City, Ga. The funeral service will be private.
