A residence in Fayetteville and two businesses off Ga. Highway 85 North in unincorporated Fayette County fell victim to burglaries in the past week.
An Aug. 25 burglary on McIntosh Place Drive in Fayetteville was discovered when the homeowner came home from work.
Fayetteville Police Department spokesman Mike Whitlow said the burglary occurred between 5-10 p.m. with entry made after a window in the back door was broken.
An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen from the residence, Whitlow said.
There were two burglaries on Aug. 28 at adjoining business on Rainbow Way, off Hwy. 85 North near Ga. Highway 279.
Sheriff Barry Babb said the businesses were entered at approximately 3 a.m. after the glass doors were shattered, adding that the only items in the registers were loose and rolled coins.
Babb said the alarms were audible when deputies responded.
