The Precious Faith Church near Turin received approval of a conditional use permit request from the Coweta County Commission on June 16 to construct a 7,030 sq. ft. worship building on 5 acres on West Road.

Commissioners were told the church was founded in 2012 and has grown to a congregation of 25 members. Current and future growth led to the request to construct a one-story worship center totaling 7,030 sq. ft. and which will include a 2,000 sq. ft. sanctuary with movable seating, classrooms, restrooms, offices and a fellowship hall/kitchen.

Commissioners were told that the church does not currently anticipate the inclusion of a preschool or private school at the location.

The majority of activity will occur on Sundays and Wednesdays.

The site on West Road, a cul-de-sac, is near residential lots ranging from 3-6 acres.

The request was recommended for approval by the Board of Zoning Appeals on May 28. County planning staff also recommended approval.
