Former Fayetteville City Councilman Wilson Price died March 7 after battling cancer.
Price, 65, served on the Fayetteville City Council for two terms beginning in 2004.
Former Councilman Larry Dell said Price was “a man who cared an awful lot about people and cared about his town. It was a privilege serving with him.”
Dell said White’s family was at his bedside when he passed away. Also at the bedside were former Mayor Ken Steele and former councilmen Dell, Walt White and Al Hovey-King.
Price was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp, having served during the Vietnam War. He was retired from Delta Airlines after 30 years of service.
White’s survivors include his wife, Diane Craig Price of Fayetteville; daughter and son-in-law, Katie and Brian Logan of Fayetteville; stepson and wife, Patrick and Flory Pulliam; stepdaughter, Kelly Pulliam; nine grandchildren; sister, Patricia Jones of Griffin; niece, Andrea Duncan of Griffin; cousin, Elaine Hearn of McDonough; one great niece and one great nephew.
The receiving of friends will be on Saturday, March 14 from noon until 2 p.m. at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home located at 1891 W. McIntosh Road in Griffin. The memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home.
