Georgia House Majority Whip Matt Ramsey (R-Peachtree City) recently announced the appointment of his Deputy Whip team, which monitors legislation and helps representatives understand the details of each bill.

“These Representatives are indicative of the strong geographic and ideological diversity within our caucus,” Ramsey said. “Their hard work and integrity have earned the respect of their fellow House members, and their reputations as fair and trustworthy individuals will enable them to be effective conduits for information between members and our caucus leadership.”

The team includes the following;

Mandi Ballinger (R-Canton),
Buzz Brockway (R-Lawrenceville),
Valerie Clark (R-Lawrenceville),
Geoff Duncan (R-Cumming),
Micah Gravely (R-Douglasville),
Rick Jasperse (R-Jasper),
Trey Kelley (R-Cedartown),
BJ Pak (R-Lilburn),
John Pezold (R-Fortson),
Regina Quick (R-Athens),
Jason Shaw (R-Lakeland),
Brian Strickland (R-McDonough),
Bruce Williamson (R-Monroe).

Members of the Deputy Whip team are responsible for monitoring legislation as it moves through both chambers of the General Assembly and helping their fellow House members understand the details of bills and resolutions.

“I know each of these members of the Whip team, with their legislative understanding and steadfast counsel, can help our caucus advance strong conservative policies on behalf of the citizens of Georgia,” Ramsey said.

Ramsey represents the citizens of District 72, which includes portions of Coweta and Fayette counties. He was elected into the House of Representatives in 2007, and currently serves as the House Majority Whip. He also serves on the Appropriations Subcommittee on Public Safety and the Ethics, Higher Education, Judiciary Non-Civil, Regulated Industries, Rules, and Ways & Means committees.
